I’M NEW

What does this church believe about Jesus Christ?

We believe Jesus is the Son of God become man born of a virgin to live a perfect life.  He died on a Roman Cross for the sin of the world and rose again from the dead three days later as He said He would.  Ascending to Heaven He is the Ruler of the cosmos.  Jesus sent His Spirit at Pentecost.  All those who put their faith in this Jesus as Lord and Saviour have passed from death to life and enjoy a restored relationship with Father God.  Every believer in Jesus is a new creation of grace and filled with the Spirit of God are guided, counselled and empowered to live a life of purpose for Jesus’ sake.

What happens in a morning church service?

Typically you walk in and get greeted at the door.  Find a seat, there will be a welcome by the music leader or pastor at the front.  People will stand and sing some songs of worship.  There will be a welcome and some announcements.  The children head out for age appropriate teaching and small group time.  Back in the service often there might be an interview with someone from our church community about a life experience.  Someone will lead us in prayer, someone will read from the bible, a talk will be given from the bible verses.  We sing some more and then finish with some fellowship around morning tea.

What happens at night church?

Night church is a more casual atmosphere.  Pretty similar to the morning, the service has songs, prayers, bible reading, testimonies and a bible talk.  The only difference is that we have a break for supper in the middle of the service.

Will I be expected to say something?
